This case involves the enforcement of EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule. Specifically, the respondent will pay an assessed penalty for failure to retain EPA firm recertification before continuing/performing work; failure to assign a certified renovator; failure to comply with Renovate Right pamphlet requirements; and failure to retain records demonstrating compliance with the RRP Rule. Enforcement of EPA's RRP Rule assists in educating renovators of target housing and in continuing EPA's mission to protect human health and the environment from lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards.
