Region III is referring this case to the Department of Justice to seek an administrative warrant from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania authorizing entry, inspection, and sampling at a portion of property within the Jackson Ceramix Site, located in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. No property owner can be identified or located and, therefore, no consent for access from a landowner can be granted to EPA. Access is needed to assist with ongoing remedial efforts at the Site under CERCLA ? 104(a) and NCP ?? 300.430, 300.435. A remedial investigation was conducted at the Site between 2005 and 2018. Sampling must be done on this property to supplement data gathered in the remedial investigation to ensure effective remedies are selected and designed for the Site.
