On February 6, 2023, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to CapturePoint LLC located in Shidler, OK. The AO was issued in response to violations of 40 C.F.R. Sections 147.2903(b), 147.2909 and 147.2912. The AO requires CapturePoint LLC to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the well; plug the well; or convert the well to production. CapturePoint LLC must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days of receiving the AO.
