On December 21, 2022, EPA signed an Expedited Settlement Agreement with Arkoma Ignacio, LLC for engine monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping (MRR) violations found at the Ignacio Gas Treating Plant during a June 28, 2022 inspection. The violations are specific to the terms of Arkoma?s synthetic minor New Source Review permit, which incorporate enforceable reductions by reference from MACT ZZZZ requirements for all 8 compressor engines onsite. The MRR violations had the potential to cause excess emissions by improperly operating the facility engine catalysts. The ESA requires Arkoma to pay a penalty of $14,350, and acknowledgement of incorrect MRR and resubmission of reporting data.
