The discharges occurred due to an overfill of an underground storage tank during fuel transfer at a Town Pump Convenience Store in Butte, Montana.
The diesel fuel traveled down a storm drain into wetlands adjacent to Blacktail Creek and then into Blacktail Creek.
The source of the diesel was from a fuel delivery truck owned by Red Mountain.
