On March 23, 2023, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) Administrative Order (Order) to the Town of Milford, New Hampshire that provides the Town an extension to two interim milestones in its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. The permit requires the Town to meet its total phosphorus limit within 54 months of permit issuance. The Town is required to submit progress reports summarizing its compliance with each obligation under the Order. EPA worked in close coordination with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services in this matter.
