EPA attempted an inspection on May 19, 2021, to determine the level of compliance with the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. Inspection was denied by the owner of Landis Collections LLC. Landis Collections LLC is a company that renovates pre-1978 homes in the St. Louis area. The building was a four-family unit built in 1913. Lead exposure is known to be harmful to human health, particularly for young children who can suffer serious and life-long health problems as a result of lead exposure. Landis Collections LLC may have exposed a number of individuals to the harmful effects of lead by not following the requirements of the Lead-Based Paint RRP Rule and TSCA. The Respondent has violated Sections 15 and 409 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
