On 2/23/23, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, issued a Formal Notice of Warning under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Cane Land Distilling Company LLC, d/b/a Three Roll Estate, of Baton Rouge, LA. The EPA alleges that Cane Land Distilling Co. violated Section 12(a)(2)(L) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(2)(L), by failing to submit pesticide production reports for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 calendar years by the applicable due dates. Repeat violations could subject Cane Land Distilling Co. to a civil administrative penalty, or other actions.
