On 2/23/23, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, issued a Formal Notice of Warning under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Farmers Cooperative of Carmen, OK. The EPA alleges that Farmers Cooperative violated Section 12(a)(2)(L) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(2)(L), by failing to submit pesticide production reports for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 calendar years by the applicable due dates for its Aline, OK and Carmen, OK facilities. Repeat violations could subject Farmers Cooperative to a civil administrative penalty, or other actions.
