On 2/24/23, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, issued a Formal Notice of Warning under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Hi-Pro Feeds LLC of Friona, TX. The EPA alleges that Hi-Pro Feeds violated Section 12(a)(2)(L) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(2)(L), by failing to submit pesticide production reports for the 2020 and 2021 calendar years by the applicable due dates for its 508 Moorman Road, Comanche, TX facility, and for the 2021 calendar year for its Clovis, NM; Cheyenne, OK; Friona, TX; and 1300 E. Mill Avenue, Comanche, TX facilities. Repeat violations could subject Hi-Pro Feeds to a civil administrative penalty, or other actions.
