During the week of August 9, 2023, a Final Administrative Compliance Order (Final Order) was issued to Jones and Buck Development, LLC (Respondent). The Final Order alleges Respondent violated regulations set forth at 40 C.F.R. ?? 147.2903(b), 147.2909 and 147.2912(a) by failing to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of an injection well located in Osage County, Oklahoma. The Final Order requires Respondent to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the injection well, plug the injection well or convert it to production use. No public comments were received during the public notice period for the Order.During the week of June 5, 2023, a Proposed Administrative Compliance Order (AO) will be issued to Jones and Buck Development, LLC (Respondent). The AO alleges Respondent violated regulations set forth at 40 C.F.R. ?? 147.2903(b), 147.2909 and 147.2912 by maintaining an injection well located in Osage County, Oklahoma in a manner that could allow the movement of fluid that contains contaminants into an USDW and by failing to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the injection well. This proposed AO proposes to order the Respondent to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the injection well, plug the injection well or convert it to production use. Comments will be solicited for 30 days from the date of this notice.
