Advanced Heat Treat is a company storing anhydrous ammonia for use in metal hardening via gas nitriding. The company is subject to the Program 3 requirements of 40 CFR Part 68, also known as the Risk Management Program rule. As a result of an inspection and careful consideration by EPA, Advanced Heat Treat was determined to be a non-filer. EPA pursued an administrative case to bring Advanced Heat Treat into compliance.
