On September 5, 2023, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to Alta Group, Inc.. located in Anchorage, Alaska, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule occurring in Anchorage, Alaska.. EPA Region 10 alleged Alta Group, Inc. failed to obtain initial RRP firm certification prior to offering, performing or claiming to perform renovations for compensation in housing constructed prior to 1978 as required by the RRP Rule.. According to EJ Screen, the target housing being renovated occurred in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $200.
