On August 2, 2023, Region 10 issued an administrative order on consent to D.R Johnson Lumber Company for its facility in Riddle, Oregon. D.R. Johnson Lumber Company failed to identify an outfall in their Stormwater Pollution Control Plan (SWPCP). Additionally, the facility failed to monitor and conduct sampling of benchmark pollutants for the outfall. The facility discharged to Judd Creek which flows to the South Umpqua River, which is impaired for fish and aquatic life, water contact recreation, boating and aesthetic quality uses. To return to compliance, the Respondent has agreed to submit and updated SWPCP and report copper results to EPA . The estimated cost of implementing this injunctive relief is $5000.
