On August 18, 2023, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to Red Oak, LLC dba Red Oak Construction located in Anchorage, Alaska, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. EPA Region 10 alleged Red Oak, LLC dba Red Oak Construction failed to become RRP firm certified prior to performing renovation work on a pre-1978 residential property, as required by the RRP Rule. According to EJ Screen, the target housing being renovated occurred in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $200.
