Region 10 signed an Expedited Settlement Agreement with Lowe's Companies, LLC for RCRA violations at its Fairbanks, Alaska store. The violations included failure properly manage universal waste and hazardous waste containers, and also failure to sign manifests and to notify EPA regarding confirmed delivery of manifested hazardous waste. Under the terms of the Agreement, Lowe's must certify that it has corrected the RCRA violations and pay a civil penalty of $6,250.
