On 7/31/23, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to Blue House Company of Baton Rouge LA. The CAFO was issued in response to alleged violations of the lead-based paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) rule for:
1) Failure to have a firm certification.
2) Failure to use certified workers.
The CAFO requires Blue House Company to pay a penalty of $914 within 30 days.
