On September 18, 2023, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to NOW Environmental Services, Inc. located in Federal Way, Washington, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Activities (LBPA) Rule. EPA Region 10 alleged NOW Environmental Services, Inc. failed to provide post-notification prior to providing RRP Renovator Initial Training as required under the LBP Activities Rule. According to EJ Screen, the training being provided did not occur in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $1,000.
