On September 6, 2023, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative order to Westfield Barnes Regional Airport Westfield, Massachusetts facility for failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their CWA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Westfield Barnes Regional Airport is authorized to discharge under the Multi-Sector General Permit. The permittee is required to submit all outstanding DMRs and continue to report as required by their permit. Westfield Barnes Regional Airport is not located in an Environmental Justice area of concern. EPA will notify the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of our actions.
