On February 29, 2024, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to Northwest Independent Contractors Association (NICA) located in Wenatchee, Washington, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Activities (LBPA) Rule. EPA Region 10 alleged Northwest Independent Contractors Association (NICA) failed to provide post-notification prior to providing RRP Renovator Initial Training as required under the LBP Activities Rule. According to EJ Screen, the training being provided did not occur in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $1,000.
