The objectives of the Parties in entering into this Decree are to protect public health, welfare, and the environment through the design, implementation, and maintenance of a response action at the Community Soils portion of OU1 of the Site by Settling Defendants, to
pay response costs of Plaintiffs, and to resolve and settle the claims of Plaintiffs against Settling Defendants as provided in this Decree.
