On February 15, 2024, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative order (Order) to Mestek Inc of Westfield, MA for failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their CWA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. Mestek, Inc. is authorized to discharge under the Multi Sector General Permit. The permittee is required to submit all outstanding DMRs and continue to report as required by their permit. EPA is responsible for implementing the CWA in Massachusetts, but the Region did notify the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of this action.
