Summary

On February 15, 2024, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative order to Woburn to Wakefield Transmission Line Project of Woburn, Massachusetts for failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their CWA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Woburn to Wakefield Transmission Line Project owned by the City of Woburn is authorized to discharge under the Remediation, Dewatering and Hydrostatic Testing General Permit. The permittee is required to submit all outstanding DMRs and continue to report as required by their permits. EPA is responsible for implementing the CWA in Massachusetts, but the Region did notify the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of this action.
