During the week of June 17, 2024, a Final Administrative Compliance Order (Final AO) will be issued to Smith Petroleum, LLC (Respondent). The Final AO alleges Respondent violated regulations set forth at 40 C.F.R. ?? 147.2903(b), 147.2909, 147.2912(a) by failing to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of an injection well located in Osage County, Oklahoma. The Final AO requires the Respondent to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the injection well, plug the injection well or convert it to production use. Comments will be solicited for 30 days from the date of this notice.
