On March 7, Region 8 issued an Administrative Order (Order) under section 1414 of the SDWA to South End Water Users Service and Improvement District (Respondent) based on a determination that the South End Water Users S&I District Public Water System (System) of Big Horn County, Wyoming violated EPA?s National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. The Order addressed several alleged violations identified from October 2022 to present. Violations include failure to monitor for lead and copper during the 2022 and 2023 monitoring periods. The Order requires the Respondent to monitor for lead and copper between June 1 and September 30, 2024, and notify the public of these violations.
