On August 20, 2024, Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to the City of Seaside Wastewater Plant located in Seaside, Oregon. Alleged violations included failure to submit toxicity sampling report, failure to sample for alkalinity, and for effluent exceedances of E.coli, total suspended solids, and pH. This enforcement action stands to prevent an annual discharge of 14,235 pounds of total suspended solids into the Necanicum River. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $3,750.00 and has come back into compliance.
