On February 28, 2024 EPA issued the Order under section 1414 of the SDWA based on a determination that the System violated EPA?s National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. The Order addressed several violations identified from July 2021 to December 2023. Violations include: failure to correct significant deficiencies in the January 30, 2023 Sanitary Survey Report; failure to deliver and certify the 2022 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR); failure to deliver and certify a consumer notice (LCN) for lead tap monitoring results in 2021; failure to take a confirmation sample within 24 hours after receiving notification of nitrate analytical results indicating exceedance of the maximum contaminant level (MCL) in March 2023; various monitoring failures for total coliform and nitrate; and failure to include all of the required elements in the associated Tier 1 PN. None of the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) violations included action level exceedances.
