On July 22, 2024, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations at the City of Sandpoint Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Sandpoint, Idaho. Alleged violations included late reporting of required monitoring and failure to remove sufficient amounts of E. coli, solids, and BOD from processed effluent. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $3,450 and has returned to compliance.
