On May 23, 2024 EPA Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving violations violation of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Regulations (SPCC) by Petro Star Inc., located in North Pole, Alaska. Petro Star Inc is the owner and operator of the Petro Star North Pole Refinery and had minor discrepancies in their SPCC Plan. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $1,575 and has returned to compliance.
