EPA Issues Notice of Warning to Whipples Feed & Seeds
On March 12, 2024, EPA Region 10 issued a Notice of Warning to Whipples Feed and Seed in Orofino, Idaho, located on the Nez Perce Reservation, for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). EPA Region 10 found Whipples Feed and Seed to be in violation of 12(a)(1)(A) and (E) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. ? 136j(a)(1)(A) and (E), which states that it is unlawful to distribute or sale any unregistered or misbranded pesticide. Whipples Feed and Seed was illegally repackaging the pesticide, Just One Bite (EPA Reg. No. 270-372) into 1.5 ounce packages. The label on the 1.5 ounce packages states, It is illegal to sell these place packs individually.
