This Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent (Settlement) is entered into voluntarily by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Butala Construction Co. (Respondent) concerning the Smeltertown Site (Site) generally located near Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado and areas in close proximity to the Site. This Settlement provides for the performance of a remedial investigation addendum and focused feasibility study (RIA/FFS) for Operable Unit 2 (OU2).
