On July 25, 2024, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order (?CAFO?) resolving CWA violations by Starbound, LLC (?Respondent?) for their former vessel homeported in Seattle, Washington. Respondent violated the NPDES General Permit for Offshore Seafood Processors in Federal Waters Off the Washington and Oregon Coast, and the NPDES General Permit for Offshore Seafood Processors in Federal Waters Off the Alaska Coast. Largely, these violations consist of exceedances of their annual waste residue limit, failures to submit complete, accurate and timely annual reports; and failures to conduct effluent monitoring. Under the terms of the CAFO, Respondent has agreed to pay a civil penalty of $168,000.
