EPA Region 6 issued Administrative Orders (AOs) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to Keatchie Water System (PWS ID#: LA1031007). The AOs were issued for failing to conduct a Risk and Resilience Assessment (RRA) of the PWS, failing to prepare or revise an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) that incorporates the findings of the RRA, and failing to submit the certifications of completion of the RRA and ERP to EPA by the specified deadlines. The AO requires the system to certify to EPA within thirty (30) days the completion of the RRA and ERP and to provide written confirmation to EPA.
The PWS returned to compliance for certifying RRA on 05/29/2024, and ERP on 05/30/2024.
