On September 10, 2024, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations of the City of Pomeroy's wastewater permit at its wastewater treatment plant in Pomeroy, Washington. Alleged violations included late permit report submittals and effluent limit exceedances for total suspended solids and ammonia. This enforcement action stands to prevent an annual discharge of 84 pounds of total suspended solids and 925 pounds of ammonia into Pataha Creek. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $901 and has returned to compliance.
