On September 18, 2024, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations of the City of Medical Lake's wastewater permit at its wastewater facility in Medical Lake, Washington. Alleged violations included late permit report submittals and effluent limit exceedances for temperature. This enforcement action stands to reduce the effluent temperature entering Deep Creek by an annual average of 3.325 ?C. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $1,050 and has returned to compliance.
