EPA filed with the Regional Hearing Clerk a Consent Agreement and Final Order memorializing a settlement for alleged violations of CAA 112(r)(7) and EPCRA 312(a). The City of Cameron water treatment plant located in Cameron, MO is a municipal water treatment facility. An inspection of the facility by EPA on December 15, 2022, revealed alleged violations of the CAA 112(r)(7) and EPCRA 312. These rules were promulgated by EPA to protect communities and the environment from releases of toxic and flammable hazardous substances, such as chlorine, whenever facilities, like the City of Cameron, manufacture, process, use, or store regulated substances at their facilities.
