On May 21, 2024, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide by Bayer through the Port of Washington-Dulles (#5401). It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute misbranded pesticides and pesticide devices; the item in question is a pesticide that failed to provide required information on the product label. The importer has the option to export or destroy the violative product and must provide to EPA documentation of the action.
