On July 23, 2024, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to Bee Remodeling LLC located in Portland, Oregon, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. EPA Region 10 alleged Bee Remodeling LLC failed to become RRP firm certified prior to performing renovation work on a pre-1978 residential property and failed to retain all RRP records for a period of three years after performing renovation for compensation on pre-1978 residential properties as required by the RRP Rule. According to the EJ Screen, the target housing being renovated did not occur in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $600.
