On June 4, 2024, EPA issued Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative orders to Hingham Recycling and Trash Transfer Facility of Hingham, Massachusetts for their alleged failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their CWA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Hingham Recycling and Trash Transfer Facility is authorized to discharge under the Multi-Sector General Permit. EPA will notify the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of our actions.
