On June 4, 2024, EPA issued Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative orders to Bemis Associates, Inc. of Shirley, Massachusetts for their alleged failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their CWA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Bemis Associates, Inc. is authorized to discharge under the Multi-Sector General Permit. EPA will notify the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of our actions.
