On September 4, 2024, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Darigold, Inc. for its Washington Department of Ecology National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Industrial Stormwater General Permit (ISGP) Facility in Issaquah, Washington. Darigold, Inc. violated the ISGP due to unauthorized discharges, failure to meet sampling requirements, inadequate Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and inadequate inspection documents. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $147,000 and are under a separate administrative order to return to compliance.
