On November 12, 2024, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations of the City of Bainbridge Island?s wastewater permit at its wastewater treatment plant in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Alleged violations included late permit report submittals and improper sampling analysis for total suspended solids and biological oxygen demand. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $675 and has returned to compliance ensuring further protection of Puget Sound.
