On July 12, 2024, Region 10 filed an Expedited Settlement Agreement with Pace International LLC resolving violations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) at the facility located in Wapato, Washington. The facility failed to properly store universal waste, conduct weekly inspections of central accumulation areas, and comply with emergency preparedness procedures and personnel training requirements. The facility is located on the Yakama Reservation, an area of EJ concern. Under the terms of the Agreement, Pace International LLC certified it has corrected the violations and has agreed to pay a penalty of $5,000.
