On January 2, 2025, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations of the NPDES permit covering the Town of Rosalia's wastewater facility (Rosalia, WA). Alleged violations included exceeded NPDES Permit limits for TSS, ammonia and E coli and failure to timely submit a required wasteload assessment. This enforcement action stands to reduce TSS, ammonia and E coli in the effluent entering Pine Creek and improve the submittal of monitoring self-reports. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $488 and has returned to compliance.
