On September 12, EPA Region III issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Novelty Manufacturing Company, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for misbranding violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). An inspection performed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, on EPA's behalf, revealed that the company distributed and sold pesticide devices which were misbranded in several ways; the products all contained false and misleading claims. Novelty Manufacturing Company is located in an Environmental Justice (EJ) area of potential concern. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has been notified of this action and has raised no concerns.
