On March 4, 2025, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Yount Enterprises, located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. On March 23, 2024, EPA was notified that the Respondent discharged approximately 1,500 gallons of diesel from their semi-truck storage yard leased in Nampa, Idaho, into waters of the United States, impacting Mason Creek and eventually flowing up to the Boise River. EPA required Yount Enterprises to clean up the spill and has sold the tank, which will prevent future releases from the facility. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $5,000 and has returned to compliance. The estimated cost of injunctive relief is $250,000.
