On November 6, 2024, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order under its authority pursuant to TSCA Section 16 to Technical Chemical Company (TCC) located in Cleburne, Texas. The CAFO was issued in response to alleged violations of TSCA Section 8(a), Chemical Data Reporting. The EPA alleged that TCC failed to file a Form U report for six imported chemical substances for the 2020 Chemical Data Reporting period, which covers the 2016 through 2019 calendar years. The CAFO requires TCC to pay a civil penalty of $168,234 within 30 days of the effective date of the CAFO. The violations have been corrected.
