On December 18, 2024, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to Scot Bell Construction, Inc. located in Heyburn, Idaho, for violations of TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. EPA Region 10 alleged Scot Bell Construction, Inc. failed to become RRP firm certified prior to performing renovation work on a pre-1978 residential property, as required by the RRP Rule. According to the EJ Screen, the target housing being renovated did not occur in an area of potential EJ concern for indexes in the State Percentile and National Percentile. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty amount of $200.
