Aspen Apartments in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Respondent agreed to a $74,082 penalty for violations identified as the result of an investigation in June 2023. The Respondent
leases residential property in Salt Lake City, Utah, built prior to 1978, and was therefore subject to the Lead Disclosure Rule. The Respondent failed to provide lessees with the EPA
approved lead hazard information pamphlet, failed to include the appropriate Lead Warning Statement in each lease, and failed to include a statement by the lessor disclosing the
presence of known lead-based paint or lead-paint based paint hazards. The Respondent paid a penalty of $525 for a violation of the Lead Disclosure Rule at the same property
in 2011.
