On 4/29/25, EPA Region 6 entered into a Consent Agreement & Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, & Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) with C&S Wholesale Grocers LLC (C&S) located in Houston, TX. The CAFO was entered into in response to the sale and distribution of four unregistered pesticides, which is a violation of Section 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(1)(A). The CAFO requires that C&S return to compliance and pay a penalty of $40,000 by September 30, 2025.
